    Who is Musicals With A Mission?

    Musicals with a Mission began in 2009 with a small group of congregational members who loved to use their God given talents of music, drama and dance.  Our director grew up in a church where drama was used to preach the Good News in a new and different way.  This stayed close to her heart and she wanted to rekindle that amazing feeling she had as a child when she went to church.  We began our musicals with the Christmas Sunday School program of 20 children.  Then the adults wanted "in on the action" and started having small roles in the children's programs.  The adults decided to perform "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" in May 2010 and a we had an amazing time!!

    But as we looked around our community, we saw people who were hurting and struggling, whether it was physically, mentally or spritually.  We wanted and needed to help.  In December of 2009, we pledged to give a portion of our proceeds to charity.  We perform two large musicals a year and thousands of dollars have been given to orphanages, families, shelters for abused and homeless children and world wide relief organizations.  

    Our musicals have grown to 50 actors/actresses and 25 support staff!  We are amazed at the time, talent, and love our church family has given to this ministry.
